Seas and Swell

Size of the seas changes because of three things:

1. Time: how long the wind has been blowing.

More Time = Bigger Waves

2. The fetch: distance the wind has blown over the sea.

Fetch is the distance the wind has blow over the water.
Longer Fetch = Bigger Waves

3. Water depth.

Shallow Water:
Higher waves, steeper waves, closer together.
