Distance

Hang in there, you are doing well.

There is one more way to use speed, distance and time.

Imagine you are doing a marine survey.

Your boat will be travelling at 5 knots. You will be on the boat for 4 hours each day. How much ground can you cover?

You know speed and time. You want to know distance.

Distance = Speed × Time

Lets look on a number line.

In four hours we will cover 20 miles.
